Leadership Division

The driving force behind CBA's Economic Education Program (pink cards), the Leadership Division develops programs to educate young people about the important role community banks play in local economics, the free enterprise system, the consumer economic theory and the value of a sound banking industry. Providing this education will assist in furthering the interest of young people to pursue banking careers. This year we made 20,000 education contacts, which gives us a total of over 150,000 contacts in Georgia communities over the last several years.

Furthermore, the Leadership Division organizes a fundraising program for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (formerly Scottish Rite/Egleston) which is a source of hope and healing for children. Since 1989, donations have totaled over $172,000. Donations go to benefit the Ronald McDonald House that serves Scottish Rite, the Child Advocacy Center, and the Patient and Family Assistance Fund. Along the lines of Children’s Healthcare, the Ronald McDonald House has a special arrangement from recyclers across the country in which they receive proceeds for these pop-tabs. Pop tabs can be turned in at any CBA function. This is a great way to recycle and know you are helping families with children under hospital care.

The Leadership Division hosts two golf tournaments annually to help support CBA's PAC/PR Fund. One spring tournament in the northern section of the state and one fall tournament in the southern portion of Georgia are organized and completed every year, rain or shine.

Each summer, CBA will host the an Annual Leadership Division Convention and Mini-Trade Show, The purpose of this Leadership Division Annual Meeting and Mini-Trade Show is to educate, network, develop or strengthen relationships with peers and to also mix in a little fun and relaxation.
