Georgia Banker Signs Minority Bank Council Letter Strongly Opposing IRS Reporting Plan
CBA wishes to recognize the ICBA Minority Bank Advisory Council and one of its members, Georgia’s own George Andrews of Unity National Bank, Atlanta, for the strongly worded letter to leaders of the Congressional Black, Asian Pacific American, and Hispanic caucuses denouncing the IRS proposal to require banks to report on all transactions of $600.00 or more. “It is clear that ALL segments of the financial services industry, as well as the public in general, see this as a gross overreach of power by the Biden Administration and those supporting legislators and policy makers,” stated John McNair, President, and CEO of the CBA of Georgia.
