Experiencing a constant deluge of fintech opportunities at your bank? With so many options and programs, what is a good fit for your bank? Are the solutions improving efficiencies, the customer experience AND aligning with your overall strategic plan?
“Bankers are looking to CBA for guidance with their digital strategy,” said John McNair, President/CEO of Community Bankers Association of Georgia. “Because of this, we have partnered with Wipfli to help our members develop a comprehensive fintech strategy that integrates with their core as well as their overall business plan and objectives. Wipfli is working with several Georgia community banks in this capacity.”
Terry Ammons, Fintech Leader and Partner with Wipfli, Atlanta, commented, “CBA is really focused on helping community banks become better by using technology as a driver for innovation. At Wipfli, we see digital evolution as an important part of success for community bank clients, so it just makes sense for us to partner with the CBA as we work together to help community banks thrive.”
According to Mr. McNair, education is vital in helping Georgia’s community bankers navigate the fintech world. At CBA’s Annual Convention in June, Terry Ammons, along with Marcie Bomberg, Principal & Strategic Advisory Services Leader at Wipfli, will present during the General Session on ‘Digital Evolution: Best Practices, Understanding the Process, and Creating a Digital Roadmap.’ A breakout session will also focus on digital evolution using a case study and panel, where bankers can hear from their peers on their experience.
Wipfli is a Platinum CBA Preferred Service Provider. Click here for information on their fintech services for financial institutions. CBA is also offering a Fintech Compliance Officer Bootcamp on Jekyll Island in May.

FDIC Launches #GetBanked Campaign
As part of its ongoing efforts to expand financial inclusion, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) launched a public awareness campaign about the benefits of opening a bank account.
The FDIC’s #GetBanked campaign will focus on the Houston and Atlanta areas, where research finds Black and Hispanic households are disproportionately unbanked. The goal of this targeted, pilot campaign is to support financial empowerment by encouraging consumers to consider opening a checking account that can result in access to safer and lower-cost financial products.
