ICBA has published a guide with suggestions to help community banks when they begin resuming more normal operations and person-to-person services.
While each community bank will have its own unique circumstances, the guide offers key considerations, such as the emotional state of employees, how to protect personnel, mitigating COVID-19 exposure or outbreak, sanitation, legal liability, and coordinating with regulatory guidelines. Hester Scholarship Winners to be Announced Next Week
Despite the pandemic, CBA received nearly 60 applications for the 30th Annual Julian & Jan Hester Memorial Scholarship. Each year CBA awards four $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors entering a Georgia college, university or technical school in the fall. The banks who submitted the winning applications are currently contacting the scholarship recipients and winners will be announced next week. Thank you to all banks who submitted applications.

CBA Associate Member WebbMason in Atlanta has put together a customized portal to order PPE items exclusively for CBA members. The portal includes various quantities of masks, acrylic dividers, sanitizers, floor decals, signage and more. Product certifications can be provided upon request. Training the Credit Analyst Level II
This course begins with a review of financial statements and proceeds into analyzing the financial statements through detailed credit, ratio and cash flow analysis to determine financial strength. The calculation of the most important credit ratios will be demonstrated and interpreted. From this analysis, basic loan structuring will be covered utilizing Net Working Investment and Financial Impact Analysis as a means of determining the why, when and how much funds are required to support an economic entity. Cash Flow analysis utilizing the Uniform Cash Analysis Method will be taught with the results compared to the methods mostly utilized by bankers including the Traditional and EBITDA Methods.
