CBA of Georgia is grateful to Sen. Kelly Loeffler and her entire staff for all the support provided during the PPP loan roll out. Sen. Loffler was actively engaged in helping CBA secure accurate and timely information to help Georgia’s community banks provide the much needed PPP funding for their small business customers. Georgia’s community banks far outpaced national lenders and tax-exempt credit unions in providing PPP loans to small businesses. In Georgia, over 160,000 businesses received approximately $14.5 billion in PPP funding. Sen. Loeffler is a strong supporter of community banking as well as small business. CBA appreciates the relationship and looks forward to working with Sen. Loeffler and her staff to continue to advance the community banking agenda.

Keeping You Safe at CBA's 52nd Annual Convention
Message from CEO John McNair
With registrations for CBA’s 52nd Annual Convention outpacing our projections, we have had questions regarding safety precautions for the event in light of the current situation. As President & CEO, it is important for me to communicate to all that CBA is following every recommendation and taking every precaution possible to maximize the learning experience of our attendees while keeping everyone as safe as possible. Please take a moment to read the outline of efforts your association is making to ensure a safe learning environment for our members. For your convenience and peace of mind, please find a list of FAQ's and a letter to guests from the Hilton Sandestin.

Vote for CBA and Lori Godfrey in James Magazine's Annual Publication
It's time again to vote for the Top Lobbyists for the September/October issue of JAMES Magazine!
JAMES Magazine is the only media publication that annually ranks Georgia's top governmental affairs firms, business and trade associations, and registered lobbyists.
Please consider voting for CBA and for Chief Lobbyist Lori Godfrey for her unrelenting effort to represent Georgia’s community banks. CBA’s SB157 is the most significant piece of banking legislation passed in the last several years. Still in its first year, SB157 has allowed 70 plus Georgia community banks to move almost $200 million into the reciprocal deposit network. SB157 is truly meaningful legislation. CBA is asking our membership to recognize Lori for her efforts not only for the bill passage, but also as Georgia’s top banking lobbyist.
Thank you for your consideration and support. Please vote as often as you like and feel free to forward this email and link onto other colleagues. Voting will end Friday, August 14th. Vote here.
