Lori Godfrey Recognized as 2022 Top Lobbyist. Fiveash-Stanley Also Recognized as Top Governmental Affairs Firm
Congratulations to Lori Godfrey, Executive Vice President, Government and Regulatory Relations at Community Bankers Association of Georgia for being recognized in the JAMES Magazine, 2022 Top Lobbyists Issue . The annual issue reveals rankings of Georgia’s top governmental affairs firms, associations and top 100 registered lobbyists. These professionals work for both government and private entities throughout the year using their skills and relationships to present important public policy issues to our state lawmakers and leaders. Congratulations also to Bryan Fiveash and Hayden Stanley of Fiveash-Stanley, who were also recognized by the magazine as one of the top governmental affairs firms. The political activities of CBA are a vital function. Jay Jones, Sr., Bank of Dade, Receives Lifetime Service Award from CBA
Jay Jones, Sr., Executive Vice President & Board Member, Bank of Dade, Trenton, was recognized by the Community Bankers Association of Georgia (CBA) for his 55 years of dedicated service to the community banking industry at a retirement celebration held in his honor at Bank of Dade’s main office.
"Georgia is fortunate to have community bankers who have reached these significant milestones in their careers. It’s our pleasure to honor the men and women who have served the banking needs of their communities and lent their expertise to a new generation of community bankers throughout their careers,” stated John McNair, President & CEO of CBA. "We congratulate Jay and appreciate his dedicated service to Georgia’s community banking industry and wish him all the best in his retirement.”
Shannon Henry, President & CEO of the Bank of Dade acknowledges what an amazing accomplishment this is for Mr. Jones. Mr. Henry stated, “Working 55 years is an achievement in itself, but 55 years for the same employer is an incredible feat that is almost unheard of anymore. Since my employment with the bank, Jay has been an integral part of the loan department as an employee while gracefully separating his duties as a director in providing oversight for the bank. His Christian views, guidance, understanding, and support have proven invaluable to me, and he will truly be missed. We all wish him a restful and enjoyable retirement with plenty of time to spend with family and friends.” Read press release.

FHLBank Atlanta 2022 Election of Directors
Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta (Bank) is conducting an election to fill three member directorships and one independent directorship on its board of directors. An email inviting members to cast their ballots was delivered on Monday, August 22, 2022. Eligible institutions in Florida, Georgia, and Maryland will vote to fill the member directorship in their respective state, and eligible institutions across the Bank’s footprint will vote to fill the independent directorship. All elected directors will serve four-year terms that begin on January 1, 2023.

Every vote counts and it is important your voice is heard. In addition to voting for a candidate for election to a member directorship position, please be sure to vote for the independent director candidate.
