Professional Bio
Chad Jones is the President & CEO of First Bank of Alabama (the oldest bank in the State). Appointed by the Board of Directors in October 2015, Jones previously served as the Senior Lending Executive for the company and has served as a member of the Board of Directors for First Bank of Alabama and FirstBanc of Alabama Inc since 2012. He has been with the Bank since 2007. Mr. Jones serves on the FNBB Board of Directors and was appointed in August 2017. Chad serves within the leadership committee of ICBA, Bank Innovation and Solutions Committee.
Mr. Jones began his banking career in 1996 with Troy Bank & Trust in Troy, AL. After moving to Georgia in 1998, he became a corporate Business Banker for six years with First Union and BB&T in Savannah until becoming Vice President and a Commercial Lender of two communityvbanks north of Atlanta before moving back home to Talladega. Mr. Jones obtained his B.S. degree in Marketing and Business Management from Troy University in 1998. He is a graduate of both the Georgia Banking School of the University of Georgia (2008) and the Graduate School of Banking at LSU (2010). He is a 2017 graduate of Leadership Alabama in the 27th class. He has been very active in the local community, volunteering and serving on the Boards of many civic organizations.
He has previously served the Alabama Banking School as the class of 2016 director, the Associate School Director 2017-2018 and begins 2019-2020 term as School Director. In his spare time, you will find him hunting, fishing or on the golf course. Jones and his wife, Elana, reside on Logan Martin Lake.
