"During one of our many bank visitation tours last fall, Ole’ Swags shared with me thoughts about possibly retiring at the end of the year. My initial reaction was one of shock and dismay. After all, Ole’ Swags has been an amazing representative for Georgia’s community banking industry and is loved and revered by so many in Georgia and across the country. After many hours of discussion, I suggested to Swags to think about things over the Holiday Season and get back to me after in mid-January. Well, it is with mixed emotions that I announce publicly the retirement of the CBA of Georgia Ole’ Swaggin’ Wagon. While Swags has served with great honor and distinction, we all have our time to get off the road, call it a career, and enjoy retirement. Swags plans to spend more time with the grandvans and go on an extended European holiday. As experienced and talented as Swags is, I anticipate that the opportunity for future speaking engagements and Board opportunities will be plentiful. Please join me in wishing Swags a happy and long retirement!" - John McNair
