Michael Akin

Michael L. Akin is a seasoned real estate appraiser with CBRE’s Valuation & Advisory Services Group based in Atlanta, Georgia. A native of Atlanta and third generation real estate professional, Mr. Akin brings over 20 years of knowledge and experience in serving his clients. Since 2003, Mr. Akin has been engaged in the analysis and valuation of assets on a local and regional basis. He began his career with J. McColgan & Associates before joining CBRE, Inc. in 2004. He currently holds a certified general license in the states of Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama and North Carolina. Mr. Akin has experience in the valuation of a range of property types including retail (net-leased, restaurants, strip shopping centers), industrial (distribution, warehouse, flex), office (medical, general), special-use properties (car dealerships, self-storage,
parking lots) and most notably, the valuation of both raw and site developed land. Mr. Akin has also provided expert witness testimony in courts across the state of Georgia.
