CBA Board of Directors Planning Session - Committed to Serving Our Members

CBA Today eNewsletter,

Last week, the CBA Board of Directors met at Callaway Gardens to discuss the future of the association. Over the past few years, the association has been revitalized and is now well positioned to serve the changing needs of Georgia’s community banking industry.  Georgia is unique from the standpoint that virtually every bank chartered in the state is a community bank; therefore, understanding the need for community banks to have their own voice, the Board reaffirmed its commitment for CBA to remain community bank-only focused. Several other areas of consensus included a commitment to innovation, enhancing member services, expanding on what the association does well, and partnering with other like-minded associations when appropriate.

Moving forward, the CBA team will work with our 13 standing committees, the LEAD Board, and the full Board of Directors to expand and develop these core areas of consensus.  With a strong foundation and full commitment from the CBA Board, the meeting adjourned with a strong sense of purpose and optimism for the future.
