Sr. Systems Engineer - Queensborough National Bank & Trust

The Senior Systems Engineer will assist in planning, initiating, and managing the bank’s technology infrastructure. The position requires a person with excellent collaboration, communication, and partnering skills to develop opportunities and implement solutions to meet business needs.  The incumbent will serve as an escalation resource for all technical related issues, and have the ability to work independently to drive problems to resolution.  The incumbent will also adhere to information security requirements, practices, and controls and implement those in the environment.    

Key Resonsibilities 

  • Serves as escalation point and ensures all issues are handled
  • Design, deploy, and manage enterprise level IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Partners with IT Manager to understand technology needs. Uses business expertise and technology partnership for moves, adds, and changes in the environment.
  • Ensuring systems/infrastructure are proactively maintained and
  • Assists with the testing and documentation of the Business Continuity
  • Partners with application owners to create efficiencies to eliminate manual
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, providing expert-level support.
  • Lead system upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Uses metrics to gather feedback, recognize the impact of solutions, and support actions to mitigate risk.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement to provide better customer experience and/or gain operational efficiencies.
  • Represents the Information Technology Team on company initiatives and projects and executes project tasks.
  • Acts as a supportive team player and a champion of the Queensborough brand both internally and externally within the community.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Technical Requirements:

  • Microsoft Server 2016/2019/2022 proficiency
  • Microsoft Office 365 (Mail SharePoint & Azure) Experience
  • 4+ years Windows Systems Administration
  • Virtualization experience
  • Network troubleshooting and experience
  • Switching and Firewall Maintenance
