Professional Bio
Howard Lemons serves as Senior Vice President and Director of Treasury Product Management for Ameris Bank Treasury Services, overseeing all aspects of Treasury Services products. His responsibilities span from development to execution and performance management of offerings such as Business Online Banking, ACH, Wire transfers, Positive Pay, Lockbox, Remote Deposit, Commercial Card, and Mobile Banking.
With a career in banking that spans over 29 years, Howard began his tenure at Wachovia Bank (now Wells Fargo) in 1997, where he led Lockbox Operations and managed both Wholesale and Retail Lockbox teams in Atlanta. After seven years at Wachovia, he joined SunTrust Bank (now Truist) as a Lockbox Product Developer. Over thirteen years at SunTrust, he held various leadership roles including Product Manager, Head of Treasury & Payment Solutions Implementations, Head of Treasury Sales Support, and Head of Product Planning, Development, and Vendor Management.
From March 2017 to October 2020, Howard was the Product Manager at Renasant Bank, responsible for the Business Digital Banking application, Payments, Fraud prevention, and Commercial Card operations. These diverse experiences have equipped him with comprehensive expertise in all areas of Treasury Management.
A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Howard holds bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Georgia and Mercer University. He and his family are avid supporters of UGA football, holding season tickets for many years. Beyond his professional achievements, Howard is Chairman of the Make A Difference Foundation, Inc., which awards scholarships to graduating seniors in Metro Atlanta and provides grants to programs that foster hope, teach valuable skills, and nurture children into responsible members of society.
