Creating a Healthy Referral Program: Mistakes to Avoid and Best Practices to Implement

William Stabler, VP of Sales
BankerBounty

Most community banks fall into two categories when it comes to creating a referral program among their employees: they have no referral program, or they've started one and are frustrated with it. This brief presentation from BankerBounty explains why this doesn't have to be the case. Having now worked with many community banks who have developed thriving referral incentive programs for their employees, we will walk through the common mistakes to avoid and best practices to implement to ensure that your bank develops a healthy referral culture.

Benchmarking Redefined: Are You Using This Data to Guide Growth?

Dan Marks, Growth Solutions
OptimaFi

Financial institutions have access to data but often lack the time and tools to translate it into clear, practical guidance that drives growth. This session explores how easier access to internal (1st party), external market (3rd party), and proprietary normative peer data empowers bankers to confidently benchmark performance and uncover true growth opportunities. For benchmarking to be effective, it must incorporate marketing data—such as product usage, campaign success, and customer behavior—alongside financial metrics to provide a comprehensive view that guides smarter strategies and improves revenue and net interest margin.
