An Advanced BSA School to Remember: Investing in Knowledge, Honoring a Legacy, and Banking on Love!

Over 70 community bankers from across Georgia and South Carolina joined us for the 2026 Advanced BSA: AML/CFT School, August 17-21, 2026, at the beautiful Omni Amelia Island Resort.  BSA/AML Compliance Officers, team members, and auditors came together to learn the latest strategies and tools to navigate today’s evolving compliance landscape. Relationships were enriched through breakout activities, networking, group dinners, music trivia, and two special celebrations!

While professional development remained at the heart of the week, attendees also shared two memorable moments that made this year's school especially meaningful.

CBA honored Dianne Barton, President & Founder of Performance Solutions, Inc. for her years of commitment and friendship to the Association. While Dianne may be retiring, her expertise, mentorship, and key takeaways leave a lasting impact on the countless professionals she has inspired throughout her career.

As memorable as the retirement celebration was, the week also included a surprise marriage proposal for attendee Shannon Land from South Carolina’s Arthur State Bank. Shannon's now-fiancé, Jimmy McKeown, worked with fellow attendee Jennifer Evans to coordinate a sunset proposal on the beach. Congratulations Shannon & Jimmy!
