BankSouth is Combating Fraud Through Education, Awareness and Innovation

As fraud continues to rise across the banking industry—targeting both consumers and financial institutions alike, BankSouth, Greensboro, has made it a priority to educate, equip, and empower the bank’s customers and communities to recognize and respond to fraudulent activity.
The bank has launched several new initiatives designed to raise awareness and provide actionable tools for fraud prevention:
1. The BankSouth Fraud Center
This new online resource hub consolidates key fraud-related content in one place.
2. The BankSouth Fraudcast
Launched in October during Cybersecurity Awareness Month, the Fraudcast is a short-form podcast and video series hosted by Bryce McCuin, Director of Marketing at BankSouth. The series features real conversations with subject-matter experts who share practical, real-world insights on protecting your finances.
3. “Stop. Think. Call.” Campaign
This new awareness campaign delivers a simple but critical message: Before making a large withdrawal or responding to a suspicious request, Stop. Think. Call. The campaign reinforces the importance of pausing before acting and directs viewers to the Fraud Center for additional resources and guidance.
