Kasey Blackburn, CBA Board:

Kasey Blackburn has spent 13 years in the banking industry and currently serves Family Bank with a strong commitment to fostering local growth and building meaningful relationships. Because she both lives and works in the community, Kasey takes pride in understanding the specific needs of local businesses and responding quickly when opportunities arise. Her team has recently helped drive regional economic growth by providing loans to a variety of businesses across all three branches, including a plantation, a mobile tea and coffee company, a restaurant/boutique business, and an apartment rental group. Each of these partnerships reflects her belief in the powerful role community banks play in strengthening the local economy.

Kasey’s dedication extends well beyond the financial side of banking. As a leader in her local Rotary Club, she participates in weekly meetings focused on planning service projects and organizing fundraising events throughout the year. She and her fellow senior officers also prioritize supporting local high schools by engaging in the annual career showcase and participating in mock interview days through work-based learning programs. These efforts not only allow her to connect with future customers but also give her the opportunity to help students prepare for their future careers, a responsibility she values deeply.

Her passion for community banking is rooted in the personal connections it allows. Family Bank’s involvement includes sponsoring events for businesses and schools, donating to local charities, and offering educational programs at meetings and classrooms. Kasey values the close relationships that naturally form in a community-focused environment, where staff often know their customers by name and senior personnel remain accessible. She’s grateful for the chance to form relationships with customers and local business owners and to provide service grounded in trust and genuine care.

Outside of her professional life, Kasey lives on her family farm with her husband, Drew, and their son, Hudson. She is proud to follow in the footsteps of her grandfather, who spent 48 years in banking, from custodian to Vice President, a legacy that inspires her daily. In her free time, she enjoys keeping up with the latest fashion trends and has a special love for dachshunds, especially her own, Winston.

Scott Curry, CBA Board:

Scott Curry brings 35 years of banking experience to First State Bank of Randolph County, where he has built a career centered on service, responsiveness, and genuine community partnership. His work reflects a deep commitment to helping customers navigate their financial needs quickly and effectively, whether through deposit support or loan solutions. Scott takes pride in the bank’s ability to move faster and more efficiently than larger institutions, offering a level of personal attention that truly sets their service apart.

His impact on the community is evident through meaningful projects like the recent TAN loan his bank provided to the city of Cuthbert. This funding allowed the city to repair its main well, restoring potable water for more than 3,000 residents. For Scott, this kind of work embodies the heart of community banking, meeting critical needs and improving the everyday lives of local families.

Beyond his professional role, Scott is deeply engaged in civic and faith-based service. He is an active member of the Rotary Club, serves as a deacon at First Baptist Church of Shellman, and contributes to local governance as a councilman for the city of Shellman. His involvement reflects his belief in leading by example and staying connected to the people he serves.

Family is at the center of Scott’s life. He cherishes time spent with his wife, Brandi, and their two daughters, Lorraine and Ruthie. Whether they are relaxing at the beach or enjoying time together on the farm, those moments remind him of what matters most and inspire the work he does each day.

Kevin Jones, LEAD Board:

Kevin Jones has spent 11 years in the banking industry and currently serves with Oconee State Bank, where his work is centered on creating meaningful, community-focused impact. One of the bank’s most significant recent accomplishments is its role in funding a multifamily housing project in partnership with the Atlanta Housing Authority. Completed through conventional financing, this development provides much-needed subsidized housing to help address the region’s growing demand for affordable living options. Kevin is especially proud that the project was led by a minority business owner, an achievement that aligns with the bank’s commitment to supporting diverse leaders and strengthening local communities. By helping bring this project to life, Oconee State Bank not only uplifted an entrepreneur but also contributed to safer, more accessible housing for Atlanta families.

Kevin's dedication to service extends well beyond his professional work. He is deeply involved in the community, serving as Fundraiser Co-Chair for the Rotary Club of Lawrenceville and Co-Chair for Glance Gwinnett through Leadership Gwinnett. He also represents the Greater Hall County Chamber of Commerce as an Ambassador and serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the Hudgens Center for Art and Learning. In addition, Kevin volunteers at 12Stone Church’s Buford Campus as a DayMaker on the café team. His involvement across these organizations reflects a strong commitment to leadership, connection, and service.

What Kevin enjoys most about community banking is the opportunity to build genuine relationships with local business owners. He believes in leading with support, whether through guidance, resources, or collaboration, to foster long-term success. For him, the most rewarding part of the job is seeing those relationships strengthen and positively influence both the businesses and the broader community.

At home, Kevin and his wife, Ashleigh, have been happily married for eight years and are proud dog-parents to their American Bully, Bruce. They love to travel, especially to the beach, and never pass up the chance for a trip to Disney World. Kevin is an avid tennis player who also appreciates a good brunch. Weekends are filled with sports, with Saturdays dedicated to cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs and Sundays reserved for rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
