Charlie Crawford, CBA Board:

Charlie Crawford has dedicated 40 years to the banking industry, serving as a pillar of leadership and integrity at Hyperion Bank. His impact extends beyond finance, as he plays a vital role in strengthening the local community. Currently, his team is financing the new building for the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia (MOCA GA), a project that will bring world-class art and creativity to the public, enriching the cultural life of Atlanta.

Beyond his professional role, Charlie is deeply involved in community and civic organizations. He is an active member of the Rotary Club of Atlanta, Georgia State University, the Young Presidents’ Organization, the Chief Executives Organization, and the Atlanta Track Club—demonstrating his commitment to leadership, education, and community engagement.

Charlie’s passion lies in community banking, where he finds purpose in serving customers who share the same entrepreneurial spirit. He believes that being part of a small, privately owned bank allows his team to truly understand and relate to their customers’ opportunities and challenges, helping them achieve success in both business and personal pursuits.

Outside of his career, Charlie has been happily married since 1991 and is a proud father of three children. He values education, fitness, and personal growth, remaining active as both a runner and tennis player. His dedication to lifelong learning and well-being reflects the same commitment he brings to his work and community each day.

Mani Swarnam, CBA Board:

With 25 years of experience in banking, Mani Swarnam currently serves at Georgia Banking Company, where he is dedicated to strengthening local economies through thoughtful lending and community involvement. One of his most notable impacts includes providing expansion funding to a reputable local company in the food service industry—an initiative that will generate approximately 20 new jobs with fair wages, all within just three miles of the bank’s location. This effort underscores his commitment to fostering sustainable growth and supporting Main Street businesses that directly benefit the surrounding community.

Beyond his professional role, Mani is actively involved in several local organizations, including the Community Assistance Center in Sandy Springs and the Blue Heron Nature Preserve in Buckhead. His engagement reflects a deep-rooted belief in giving back and staying closely connected to the communities his bank serves. Mani’s passion lies in local decision-making and maintaining proximity to the market, ensuring that the work he does has a tangible, positive effect on people rather than focusing exclusively on Wall Street-style returns.

Outside of banking, Mani enjoys spending quality time with his family and traveling. His wife, Lakshmi Swarnam, is a small business owner who runs Keystone Escape Rooms in Cumming, Georgia. Together, they have three children: their son, Tarun, a freshman at the University of Georgia, and twin daughters, Harsha and Varsha, who are currently in fifth grade. Mani’s strong family values and commitment to community embody the spirit of local leadership and the power of personal connection in business.

Joshua Osborne, LEAD Board:

Joshua Osborne has been in the banking industry for 24 years and currently represents Colony Bank, where he brings his expertise and dedication to serving clients and communities alike. Throughout his career, he has exemplified the importance of building relationships and fostering growth, both professionally and personally. His work reflects a strong belief that banking is more than just business—it’s about becoming a true partner to the people and communities you serve.

Joshua is actively involved in his community through organizations such as the Rotary Club of Sugarloaf, Leadership Gwinnett, and the Center for Navigating Family Change. His engagement in these groups underscores his commitment to leadership, service, and supporting families and local initiatives. He finds great fulfillment in knowing that his contributions help create meaningful change and strengthen the communities he serves.

Passionate about collaboration and impact, Joshua believes that in banking, “you become a true partner with the businesses and communities you work with.” For him, success is measured not only by numbers but by the difference he makes in people’s lives each day.

Outside of work, Joshua is a devoted father of two. His 21-year-old son is a junior Neuroscience major at Georgia Tech, and his 19-year-old daughter is a sophomore Theater major at Samford University. In his free time, Joshua enjoys playing golf, spending time outdoors, attending sporting events, and going to concerts—activities that reflect his appreciation for balance and connection beyond the workplace.
