The Citizens Bank of Cochran recently gave a $10,000 donation to the Bleckley County Sheriff’s Office to help fund their “Santa with the Sheriff” Christmas program, bringing joy to children and families across Bleckley County, and to assist with vital technology upgrades to enhance operations and service to the public.
Peoples Bank & Trust, Buford, supported the Buford High School Basketball Program by wearing Buford basketball shirts and their Taste of Buford fundraiser.
The team from PromiseOne Bank, Duluth, volunteered at the Junior Achievement Discovery Center in Gwinnett and taught financial literacy to 8th-grade students from Creekland Middle School.
Exchange Bank, Milledgeville, finished the bank’s Money Cents Financial Literacy Program with students from Georgia Military College Prep School. As part of the program, students visited the bank’s main office for a behind-the-scenes look at how banking works.
Bank of Dade, Trenton, presented a donation to American Legion Post 106. The donation was presented to Commander Michael Buehrer of Post 106 by bank employee Scarlett Hannah, whose husband served in the Army National Guard and her son is currently serving in the U.S. Air Force.
Citizens Community Bank, Valdosta, sponsored the UGA Small Business Development Center at Valdosta State University’s inaugural Business Summit. Eight CCB employees attended the sessions and CEO Jeff Hanson spoke about essential tools to achieve financial success.
