Bankers from Georgia Banking Company, Atlanta, spent the day at Spalding High School in Griffin, partnering with seniors as they prepare for the financial side of life after graduation. Topics included budgeting, saving, building credit and planning for the future.
Magnolia State Bank, Eastman, held a fundraiser for Faithful Hearts Animal Shelter, and the bank’s Junior Board of Directors supported their annual fundraising event.
Together, Magnolia State Bank and the Junior Board raised $2,200 for Faithful Hearts.
Team members from Community Bank of Georgia, Baxley, participated in Career Day at Altamaha Elementary School, instilling that the students are never too young to begin considering a career path.
Yvonne Young, BSA/AML Officer, BankSouth, Eatonton, presented on fraud awareness at the Cochran Rotary Club meeting. This marked the first community engagement since BankSouth purchased The State Bank of Cochran.
Planters First Bank team members Brenda Alexis, Universal Banker and Shane Bell, Cordele Market President, led discussions on financial literacy, fraud prevention, and credit building for students at South Georgia Technical College.
Employees from Bank of Dudley, Dublin, were hands on preparing for and flipping pancakes at the Exchange Club’s Annual Pancake Supper.
