The Human Resources RAP Session on Friday, February 6th will provide timely insights and practical guidance for today’s bank HR professionals. The team from UGA’s J.W. Fanning Institute will present strategies to help HR leaders understand, engage, and effectively manage all generations in the workforce, ensuring the diverse needs of employees are met. In addition, CBA Legal Counsel will deliver a comprehensive legal update covering the key compliance issues and regulatory considerations HR bankers need to know in 2026 to keep their banks compliant and out of trouble.  The day will wrap up with a roundtable session to allow time for the group to engage and share!

ABOUT OUR INSTRUCTORS: 

Jason Estep is a public service faculty member at the J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development, a unit of the Office of Public Service and Outreach at the University of Georgia.  While focusing on youth leadership development, he has considerable experience with curriculum development, program design and implementation, and evaluation of programs serving diverse audiences, whether youth or adult.  Prior to joining the Fanning Institute, Jason served Georgia 4-H as the State Specialist for Leadership and Civic Engagement, responsible for planning, facilitating, and evaluating dynamic educational programs for youth ages 9-19.  Before working in youth development, Jason practiced law with large firms in Atlanta, GA, and Washington, DC.  He helped train, coordinate, and supervise attorney teams working on corporate litigation, antitrust matters, and government enforcement actions. 

Kristopher Stevens brings more than 17 years of experience advising large employers on institutional legal risk, compliance, and complex problem-solving. Kristopher is a servant leader by nature, and has cultivated a diverse background in leadership development and employment law, including addressing matters involving harassment, discrimination, and workplace misconduct.

Before entering private practice, Kris served the University of Georgia where he helped to ensure the institution’s regulatory compliance with employment, civil rights, and disability laws. In that role, he conducted and guided faculty and staff leadership through sensitive internal investigations, advised human resources professionals, and provided training on workplace policies and best practices.

Earlier in his career, Kris served as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) officer in the United States Air Force. There, he advised air force base leadership on administrative law, government contracts,
the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), and military justice matters, while also providing legal assistance to service members and veterans. Kristopher is known for his skill in resolving complex disputes, his strong communication and presentation abilities, and his commitment to mentoring and service.
