Community bankers from across Georgia gathered at the popular Cyber Risk Summit at Brasstown Valley Resort to explore the latest strategies for strengthening cybersecurity in today’s fast-evolving threat landscape. The program opened with a welcome from Lori Godfrey, CBA’s Chief Operating Officer, who set the tone for learning and collaboration at the summit.

Sessions covered numerous topics:

  • Beyond MFA: Strengthening Microsoft 365 Security in a Zero Trust World
  • Strategic Questions for IT Leadership in Banks Today
  • IT Exam Top Topics
  • Top IT Initiatives for Community Banks in 2025-2026
  • Next Steps in the M365 AI Chain
  • Cybersecurity  Isn’t a Department – It’s a Culture

Attendees participated in roundtable exercises, heard a panel discussion and learned about new solutions from the exhibitors and sponsors.

Reflecting on the event, Lori Godfrey remarked, “Staying ahead of cyber threats is mission-critical for community banks, and I’m thrilled with the engagement and collaboration we saw from both our bankers and partner firms. Together, we’re building stronger, more secure institutions for the future.”
