Frank Griffin, CBA Board, Immediate Past Chair:
Frank Griffin has spent more than 29 years in the banking industry and currently serves with Flint Community Bank. His extensive career reflects a deep commitment to both his profession and his community, where he plays an active role in fostering growth and stability. Frank is deeply involved in civic leadership and currently serves on the boards of several organizations, including the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, and the Georgia State Board of Education. Through these roles, he helps strengthen connections between business, education, and community service, ensuring that local institutions thrive and positively impact the lives of those they serve. Passionate about community banking, Frank believes that community banks and their bankers are the “troops on the ground” that keep America running. Each day, he and his peers make decisions that directly affect their neighbors and friends, providing capital to help turn hopes and dreams into reality. Outside of his professional and community commitments, Frank treasures time with his family. He and his wife, Ashley, have three grown children who are navigating the journey of “adulting.” Frank finds great joy in watching them grow into their own lives, offering encouragement and support along the way. When he’s not working or serving, he enjoys being near the water, reading, eating good food, and quail hunting. |

Jonathan Pope, CBA Board & LEAD Board, Immediate Past Chair:
Jonathan Pope has dedicated 25 years to the banking industry, serving with Exchange Bank. Under his leadership, the bank recently launched online account opening and loan application services, offering customers a more convenient and accessible way to manage their finances. This new technology allows individuals to open accounts or apply for loans from the comfort of their homes while still receiving the same personalized service that has long defined Exchange Bank’s approach to community banking. Beyond his professional role, Jonathan is deeply involved in his community. He serves as a member and board member of the Exchange Club of Milledgeville and contributes his leadership to several local organizations, including the GC&SU College of Business and Technology, Georgia Military College Alumni Board, Old Capital Soccer League—where he also coaches the U12 team—the Chamber of Commerce, and Keep Milledgeville Baldwin County Beautiful. He is also an active member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church. Jonathan’s passion for community banking is rooted in helping small businesses start, grow, and thrive locally. He takes pride in continuing a legacy that began 122 years ago when his family helped found Exchange Bank to meet a need in Milledgeville. Guided by the motto “Modern Banking with a Personalized Touch,” he believes in embracing innovation while maintaining strong personal relationships with customers—who are not just clients, but neighbors, friends, and community partners. For Jonathan, every step toward improving the banking experience is also a step toward building stronger communities and lasting connections. Family remains the heart of Jonathan’s life. He and his wife, Katherine, have been partners for 17 years, raising two children, Sydney and Jack, whose enthusiasm and curiosity inspire him daily. Much of their family life centers around the soccer field, where Jonathan has spent years coaching youth teams. This role has allowed him to instill values of teamwork, encouragement, and confidence in young players—principles that mirror his approach to leadership in banking and community service. With his family’s constant support, Jonathan remains grounded, grateful, and fully dedicated to the people and place he calls home. |
