Don’t Miss Out—CBA Scholarship Deadline Is Approaching Fast

Time is running out to apply for CBA’s 2026 Scholarships—an important LEAD Board initiative designed to support education and strengthen the future of community banking in Georgia. Bankers are encouraged to share these opportunities with students, employees, and their local communities before the upcoming deadlines.

CBA offers three scholarship opportunities:

• Julian & Jan Hester Memorial Scholarship – Awards four $1,000 scholarships to Georgia high school seniors pursuing higher education, with a focus on academic achievement, leadership, and an interest in community banking.
• McNair Family Scholarship – Provides a $1,000 award to a Georgia community bank employee (adult learner) working toward a college or trade degree while employed in the industry.
• J. Steven Walraven Memorial Scholarship – Offers $500 to a Georgia community bank employee continuing their education to grow their banking career.

Important Deadlines:

• Applications due to the bank: April 3, 2026
• Completed submissions due to CBA: April 10, 2026
