First-hand Account of ICBA's LEAD FWD Summit - Truly Transformative

CBA Today eNewsletter,

Amazing BBQ wasn’t the only thing happening in KC on September 18th and 19th.

In today's rapidly evolving business landscape, building strong leadership skills and fostering meaningful connections within our communities are essential to success. Recently, I had the opportunity to attend the ICBA's LEAD FWD Summit in Kansas City. The experience was truly transformative and impactful in many ways.

The conference was a hub of knowledge, featuring engaging sessions and inspiring speakers who shared invaluable insights. From discussions on cutting-edge industry trends to innovative strategies, the conference covered diverse topics that kept all attendees informed and motivated to drive positive change within their organizations.

I particularly enjoyed hearing Rebeca Romero Rainey, ICBA President & CEO, speak on how the ICBA and community banks stand united through advocacy efforts to help protect the interests of community banks nationwide. The team at the ICBA is passionate about community banking and acts quickly in times of need to ensure community banks have a voice in Washington, DC. Mrs. Rainey's keynote speech further highlighted the aligned missions of our state and national CBA organizations.

The opportunity to connect and collaborate with fellow community bank leaders nationwide was impactful. Engaging with peers, sharing experiences, and building meaningful relationships emphasized community banks' crucial role as the backbone of small businesses and exceptional service providers.

I sincerely appreciate the ICBA and CBA of Georgia (John McNair and Kristi Greer) for bringing this scholarship opportunity to my attention. Their support was instrumental in my attending the event, and I recommend other community bankers to participate in further ICBA events.

Events like the ICBA's LEAD FWD Summit are powerful reminders of community banks' significant role in supporting small businesses and providing unparalleled service. Through collective efforts and the ideas shared at these meetings, we have the best opportunity to lead our communities toward growth, innovation, and positive change.
