Position Summary

The Personal Banker at First City Bank plays a critical front-line role in delivering relationship-based banking to consumers and small businesses. As a member of a de novo community bank, this role extends beyond traditional account opening to include proactive customer engagement, cross-functional branch support, and participation in community-focused outreach activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Customer Relationship & Sales Excellence
  • Assist consumer and small-business customers in selecting appropriate deposit accounts and services.
  • Identify opportunities to deepen customer relationships.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for customers.
  • Promote the Bank’s brand through professional service.

Account Opening & Servicing

  • Open, maintain, and close consumer and business deposit accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with CIP, BSA/AML, and Bank policies.
  • Process deposits, documentation, and disclosures.
  • Issue official checks and certificates of deposit.

Operational & Branch Support

  • Support teller, vault, safe deposit, and lending functions.
  • Operate core banking systems.
  • Maintain accurate records.

Community & De Novo Engagement

  • Participate in community and CRA-related activities.
  • Support branch events and outreach.

Compliance & Professional Standards

  • Ensure compliance with all banking laws and regulations
  • Complete ongoing and annual professional bank training as required to enhance knowledge and remain in compliance.
  • Maintain information security protocols physically and digitally.
  • Maintain ethical conduct and professionalism.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 3–5 years of banking or financial services experience.
  • Working knowledge of common Microsoft business office suite products
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

 Physical and Work Requirements

  • Ability to work standard business hours with flexibility as needed to support business development and community engagement activities
  • Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the branch as required

Work Hours/Days

Monday-Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm
