Celebrating a Legacy of Leadership: Scott Tomlinson Honored at Retirement Celebration

Customers, community leaders, friends and family gathered at The Boyd Farm in Leesburg to celebrate Scott Tomlinson, CEO, Flint Community Bank, Albany, on his retirement after more than 45 years in banking.
John McNair, President & CEO of CBA, presented Scott with a CBA Lifetime Service Award, along with a special proclamation from the CBA Board of Directors recognizing his extraordinary leadership and steadfast commitment to community banking.
“Scott represents the very best of community banking,” said McNair. “His integrity, servant leadership, and dedication to both his profession and his community have left a lasting mark on our industry and on CBA. We are grateful for his service and proud to call him a friend.”
A graduate of Valdosta State College, Scott began his career as a rural home and land loan officer while still in school and went on to serve in leadership roles at several banks across Southwest Georgia. In 2006, he helped open the doors of Flint Community Bank as a member of its Organizing Board and later served as President and CEO, guiding the bank with strength, stability, and a deep commitment to community banking values.
Throughout his career, Scott distinguished himself not only as a banker, but as a mentor and community leader. In addition to serving as Chairman of the CBA Board, he held leadership roles with numerous civic and community organizations throughout Southwest Georgia, further demonstrating his deep commitment to service.
CBA extends its heartfelt appreciation to Scott for his service to Georgia’s community banking industry and congratulates him on a well-earned retirement.
