Leadership Bankers Earn Certificate

CBA Today eNewsletter,
The 6th class of CBA’s Community Bankers Leadership Academy graduated on Wednesday, October 4th!  Our industry continues investing in the talent of our leadership bankers, by giving employees an opportunity to participate in the only community bank focused leadership training in our state.  The 4-part academy takes bankers from numerous roles within the bank through a variety of exercises to develop their personal and professional skills to lead effectively.  This year’s class was top notch, and we look forward to seeing their success in your community banks!

Check out what participants say about the academy:

“The entire program was great. I was forced to think, develop, and imagine. I left each session on a ‘high’”.  Jessica Peeler, Exchange Bank

“Being pulled out of my comfort zone to be confident within myself to in turn be a better employee. I love how relevant CBA trainings are to our banks we work in.” Ramsey Rigsby, Family Bank

“April Farlow was phenomenal and Kristi’s toolbelt building exercise and personal mission statement building was very helpful. As someone new to leadership in the bank, I saw the leadership academy as an interesting way to learn the things I was new to.  I’ve spent many years as part of a team but leading one was new and scary to me.  This class has taught me more about myself, personally and as a leader, than I could have expected.  Learning about myself has led me to be a better leader in just a year.  My comfort level has grown because I have learned what kind of communicator I am and how to communicate with others who are different.”  Annie Folendore, Exhange Bank

“All of it. April’s sessions were phenomenal. As much as I hate to admit it the public speaking was the most helpful even if it was uncomfortable.” Justine Hawkins, Queensborough National Bank & Trust

“This Leadership Program was absolutely phenomenal. Kristi and April were outstanding instructors. They made each class fun, engaging and informative.” Kimberly Woodham, Flint Community Bank

“I decided to attend CBA’s Community Bank Leadership Academy because I wanted to become a better leader.  Not only have I become a better leader, but I have become a better person. I truly can’t recommend this program highly enough.  The curriculum is comprehensive and gives attendees practical leadership takeaways that can be implemented at their financial institutions right away.  In addition, the instructors take their time to not only teach but to listen to the real-world concerns of those attending and do try to share best practices during class.  I believe the two greatest assets received through this program are the resources we can reference throughout our career and the peer-to-peer networking.  Each and every person in this program has provided insight, opportunity and collaboration throughout each session and I have made connections with bankers from across Georgia that I will be able to call upon long after.’  Hollis Mason, Citizens Community Bank
